Al Shindagha Museum
A collection of restored houses and thematic pavilions telling the story of Dubai, the Creek and Emirati culture.

Al Shindagha Museum is better understood as a heritage district than a single gallery. Its pavilions move through the story of the Creek, traditional crafts, family life and the forces that shaped Dubai, with historic buildings providing as much atmosphere as the displays themselves. The Perfume House is a particularly distinctive thread within the larger visit.
Do not rush it. Choose a few themes, allow for walking between buildings and combine the museum with the Creek or nearby historic areas.
